QA: Who Are Our Enemies?

QUESTION: Who are our enemies? - April 18, 2021

ANSWER: An enemy is everyone who opposes those who trust in God and do things described in Psalm 56:5-6:

1. They twist my words - by changing the meaning of the words after they are used, lawyers can make an innocent conversation sound evil. Politicians & some preachers can make good words become wrong (Jude 4; 2 Peter 3:16)

2. All their thoughts are against me for evil (Psalm 140:1-2) Their intent is revealed; their words may appeal to "unity" or "friendship," but their purpose is for evil. ... Read More of this and other QA in Questions Answered.

QA: If the Bible is God's Word, Why Are There Atheists?

QUESTION: If the Bible is the word of God, why are there so many atheists? - 7/28/2019

ANSWER: There are two kinds of atheists: practical and doctrinal.

1. Practical atheism is described in Titus 1:15-16. Many people practice atheism, that is, they live their lives as though there is no God. They think they exist because of godless evolution; or they are totally in charge of their lives because of humanism, which is human pride elevated over anyone else; or they think their lives are completely hidden in darkness from God's view! They are "without excuse," "futile in their thoughts," and have "foolish hearts"  (Romans 1:20-23), and thus live in sin (Romans 1:24-25). ... Read More of this in The Bible and Evolution. The Flood Sand Dunes: Mini Article Now Available

The Flood Sand Dunes - 3-8-2021
“For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water” (2 Peter 3:5-6). People act as though the world-wide flood in Noah’s day (Genesis 6-9) was some exaggerated local flood. About one-fourth of the State of Nebraska has grass-held sand dunes, some over 400 feet high. This area of western Nebraska, known as the Sand Hills, can only be explained as sediment from a great flood. Since there is no ocean nearby to explain this huge beach in the middle of dry land, a person must “willfully forget” about the flood in Noah’s day to make-believe there’s any other explanation! No “billion-year Evolution,” for only God was needed. Do you believe?

Verbally Inspired - Mini Article Now Available

Paul argued the “verbal inspiration” of the Bible regarding the "seed" promised to Abraham: “Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, ‘And to seeds,’ as of many, but as of one, ‘And to your Seed,’ who is Christ”(Galatians 3:16). God's original promise to Abraham is recorded in Genesis 22:18: "In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed." The Old Testament Hebrew word for "seed" cannot apply to the Israelites, Levites, or anyone else, before Jesus Christ. The inspired writer of Galatians 3:16 makes an inspired interpretation of Genesis 22:18 and shows the fulfillment recorded in Matthew - John was perfectly accurate! God knew what He said in the promise, and certainly knew when events had “filled full” (or “fulfilled”) what He meant for men to believe.

QA: Does God Even Exist?

QUESTION: Does God even exist? - August 19, 2018

ANSWER: The Bible IS a "Christian Evidence" textbook. (Hebrews 11:1) Faith is based upon "evidence" and it is a solid conviction of "things not seen." ... The Bible makes statements that point to external data, for example 1. Every effect must have an adequate cause. ... (Hebrews 3:4Genesis 1:1). ... Read More of this and other QAs on Questions Answered.

QA: How can Christians Discuss Religion When It Is Forbidden?

QUESTION: How can Christians argue religion when they are forbidden to do that?    February, 2019

Answer: Some will condemn any attempt to expose the organization and practice of evil, while harboring those who refuse to change from their evil ways. They make the church of Christ composed of a “mixed multitude” rather than people desiring to be pure from their sins. Ephesians 5:25-27. Have these Christians not read: 1. What David said in Psalm 34:14? ...

Lend Me Your Ears: Mini Article Available

In William Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar,” Act 3, Scene 2, Mark Antony says: “Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.” Why pay attention to this fictional invitation, but neglect to hear God’s appeal: “Give ear, O my people, to my law; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth” (Psalm 78:1); OR to the appeal of Solomon: “My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding” (Proverbs 5:1); OR to the appeal of Jesus Christ: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life”     (John 5:24).

QA: Who Can Be Trusted for Truth?

QUESTION: With political campaign promises, Internet articles, and "fake news", who can be trusted for the truth?- 8/16/2020

ANSWER: Surrounded by the sinful (Psalm 12:8), King David points out a most disheartening belief in v4: "Our lips are our own; Who is lord over us?" When even sinners abandon speaking truth, there is no confidence in anyone, anything, anywhere. ... Today, Christians should be "putting away lying, 'Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," (Ephesians 4:25) ... Read More

QA: Why Are People Who Believe in Jesus, and Already Saved, Not Christians?

Question: Why do you feel people who believe in Jesus, and have already been saved, are not Christians? - January, 2019

Answer: What I “feel” has nothing whatever to do with what I preach and teach. And no one has been saved by their own understanding, but without doing what Jesus commands. “Feelings” do not establish “doctrine.” Jesus said: “And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men” (Mark 7:7). ... Without “sound doctrine,” we would be “tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting” (Ephesians 4:14). No one in the churches of Chist determines “the word” to be preached.  Read the complete answer on Questions Answered.

How Does God Speak Today?- Mini Article Now Available

“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son” (Hebrews 1:1-2). Jesus has said: “the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day” (John 12:48). But how does anyone know the words of Jesus? “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away” (Luke 21:33). The things in the New Testament “are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:31). We must believe everything the Bible says about Jesus – no more, and no less! His words are preserved in the Bible.   - February 3, 2020
